I'm utterly confused with the story at first, it talks about Pharoah and then Marseilles so I felt like "What is this story talking about, a pharoah goes to France,?" So I had to go to look read a plot overview of the story from websites to finally understand that there is this guy in Marseilles called Edmond who owns a ship called Pharoah and that enlightened me a lot but so far the story is good although after I took a good look at the number of pages I felt shocked because it was like 700 pages and with the current time frame of this quarter, the only I'll finish it is if I read at least 75 pages per day.

I'm not really sure about what I understood from the 75 pages I've just read, for all I know, I've misunderstood the story, it's a painstaking task to be able to cramp 75 pages of the story in my brain just like that but so far I understand that this Edmond guy is being betrayed by his friends and is about to be punished for what he's not really supposed to be guilty of. But yet again, I'm not really sure about what I just read and I'm starting to forget some of the details about I've just read, this probably because I have the memory span of the goldfish.

Today, I don't think I'm really a goldfish because I seem to be able to remember most of the things that have happened in the story such as Edmond finally sent to prison and meeting a mentor. Recalling on what I've read before these 75 pages, the story starts to make sense that this Edmond guy has a good life and people got jealous of him and so they frame him out of jealously. Now that I look it the story is very interesting because one of my favorite type of stories is one about exacting revenge.

These 75 pages have now all been about the rebirth of Edmond or more like the birth of the Count of Monte Cristo in which Edmond began to learn a lot subjects from Abbé and also has learned the location of a vast amount of wealth. It's also very entertaining because finally the Edmond escaped out of prison, thank god it's not in the modern days because he would most likely be unable to escape from prison. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to what the Count of Monte Cristo is about to do now that he is free.

It's been amazing, one guy down right of the bat, one of the plotters who framed Edmond had already been punished by the Count of Monte Cristo, and it wasn't just any punishment, it was a severe one that stripped the victim from anything that had meaning in his life. I really like it when good characters go evil, it's my favorite kind of twist and now that I've witnessed one of the punishments of the Count of Monte Cristo I can't imagine who's the next victim and what he's about to do to that guy.
