Dear Diary,
Today has been the most memorable day of my life. I feel so proud to be an Indian and belong to this incredible country of ours. I attended the Republic Day Parade early in the morning today. It began at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and ended at the Red Fort. There were thousands of participants who had come from all over India. Each State and Union Territory exhibited its speciality either in Arts or Music. It was a treat watching these talented performers. Many National and International Dignitaries were invited by the President to watch the parade. The President of U.S.A was the Chief Guest of Honour. Many school children also participated in the parade and they were mind blowing. Our President delivered a very inspirational speech. When the National Anthem was sung my heart swelled in pride and I promised my country that I will be a worthy citizen.
I will eagerly wait for this day next year.
Yours lovingly,
Sumana.
