Dear Diary,
It has been quite some time since I have spent time with you. I was actually very busy in Paris after submitting my resignation. There was so much packing, donations to make , meeting all my friends for the last time, time just flew by.
Today was my last day in Paris. I had to board the evening train. All my friends accompanied me to the railway station. It was a tearful farewell. As each and every one gave me a hug and a gift I could not hold my tears. We ate at the railway canteen for the last time. George had brought his guitar and Harry his flute. We sang 'our song' though I broke down in between.
When the train pulled in I was not ready to part. With a heavy heart I boarded the train. As the train pulled out of the station I saw them waving continuously till they finally drifted away. With tearful eyes I am narrating my woes to you as the train speeds off.
Will keep you informed of my epic trip as it progresses.
Till then.
Your friend
Narayana Murthy

Diary entry:
Dear diary,
I feel very sad. I said goodbye to my best friends John. John and I was friends from babies. I call his mother as mother and he would call my mother as mother. He was a great guy though he is crazy he would always keep me happy. I used to get first rank and he would get last ranks. But he was never jealous of me and he would always stand in the last bench laugh whenever I was smart.
I am going to miss him like anything. Though he will come back, I still miss him. I hope he gets good mark in the school hostel. So, he father will take him back from hostel. I think I would have helped him but I was engrossed in myself that I miss him now.
I'll see you later. Good night.
Lots of love,
Narayana Murthy.
