No, Mr. Keesing was not a strict teacher. Like every other loyal and motivated teacher, he wanted his students to concentrate on their studies and do well in regards to education. For that purpose, he had to deal with non-serious students strictly but he did appreciate students who worked hard and showed some potential in their work. This is illustrated by the fact that though he kept punishing Anne by giving her extra homework, he always laughed at Anne’s creativity and sense of humour.
