The first and most important reaction of all is always to shout for help or dial for help, that is, even if I were a medical personnel. This because, in such situations, no one can provide help on their own.
If I were a doctor, or had any medical training, the first thing I would do is to provide the boys basic life support measures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation if required. Providing first aid goes a long way in preservation of life before the the ambulance and the paramedic team gets to the scene to take the injured boys to the hospital
