Dear Diary
I woke up today in totally new surroundings. Actually I did not sleep much last night. Yesterday due to the earthquake we were removed from our houses and shifted to this temporary shelter. The tremor came suddenly and we were rescued before the building fell. We left the place in a hurry.
There was no time to collect my clothes and other belongings. So today I did not have my toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, and clothes to change. I just washed my face with water and sat huddled together with the other survivors.
I do not know if my relatives are safe. My father had gone to help some people but did not come back. My grandparents could not walk fast so they were taken in a van to some other shelter.
I did not have any money with me. So I had to wait for the food packets to be given and there was no water to drink until the van came with water.
Life is very hard here. There is so much of noise and no privacy. More and more people are being brought to the shelter and there is not enough place to lie down.
Hope the crisis gets over soon and we can go back home.
