The first flight
All my children have been talented in swimming and catching fish. They were quick learners and surpassed me and their father very early. However, the only one who got left behind was my youngest son, the young seagull. It broke my heart to see him helplessly observing us while all his siblings enjoyed in the water. He could only stare at them while feeling self loathe. I cannot imagine how sad it must have been. Although I wanted to console him, I could not. I had to be strict. Nature works on the law of survival of the fittest. If he could not take flight, then maybe that was his fate. However, it all changed when he took his first flight suddenly one day. I was overjoyed by it. My feelings cannot be described in words. Finally, my child had succeeded in life. I was very happy and proud of him.
