I have something very interesting to share with you. It is about our area's postmaster, Thannapa. You know if he had not acted wisely, Kamakshi's wedding might have been postponed.
My uncle had died in Salem a few days before the wedding. I was sent a post card as well as a telegram carrying the information of his illness and death respectively. But Thanappa didn't deliver me either of them, thinking it would interfere with the marriage programme.
He gave me both the card and the telegram a few days after the wedding, after everything was settled. Initially, I felt very angry. But later on I felt grateful to Thanappa for his wisdom.
