Cyanobacteria are the Nitrogen fixing microorganisms which add nitrogen to the soil in the form of nitrates.

They increase the fertility of the soil

They increase the yield of the crop

They are eco-friendly

They have the ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen, solubilized phosphorous and decompose organic matter. They act as biofertilizers

They increase the yield of rice by 25-30%
