Chemoautotrophic bacteria uses chemical energy instead of light energy for food synthesis. This chemical energy is obtained from oxidation of chemical compounds. These bacteria oxidise chemical compounds and release energy which is used for food synthesis.
Example-
Nitrosomonas- converts ammonia into nitrite
Nitrobacter - converts nitrite into nitrates
