The importance of forests cannot be underestimated. We depend on forests for our survival, from the air we breathe to the wood we use. Besides providing habitats for animals and livelihoods for humans, forests also offer watershed protection, prevent soil erosion and mitigate climate change

AIR :-

▪️ It helps in purifying the air by adding oxygen into it.
▪️It takes carbon dioxide gas during photosynthesis thus green house effect is controlled.
▪️Transportation helps in the formation of clouds and thus it maintains the temperature of the surrounding area giving cooling effect.

SOIL :-

▪️Plants in the forest hold the soil of the soil. Therefore preventing soil erosion.
▪️It holds the soil which helps in the increasing the underground water level.
▪️Adds nutrients to the soil due to lot of vegetation present in the forest gets decomposed.

WATER :-

▪️Forest helps in bringing rain.
▪️Increasing the level of water and underground underground water bodies.
