Transpiration is the process by which the excess water is released by the plants to the atmosphere
-----------------
it happens withe help of guard cells
when the guard cells shrink the stomatal pores open and the excess water is released to the environment
-------------------------------------------------------
it has a lot of importance
1)it helps the plants to keep cool during hot conditions
2) it helps plants to lose excess water
3)as the excess water evaporates it indirectly helps us to get rainfall
4)through transpiration all the parts of the plants get water
5)it helps the plants cells to be turgid
