commerce is trade and the aids to trade .commerce is yet another part or sub division of business studies ,it gives an insight on trade ways of trade ,types of trade and the need  to trade .commerce is taught to students and pupils to enable them know how to trade and the skills to identify the right trading activity and the trade that has been taking place over the years

i think all the topics in a subject or course are vetted by the body mandated to do so ,they know the best and importance of the various topics to the economy at large and to the well being of the people
