let V1 and P1 be the initial volume and pressure
then
P2 = 75/100*P1 = 0.75* P1
V2 = 40%V1 + V1 ( becoz there it was said volume increased BY 40%)
V2 = 0.4*V1 + 1*V1 = 1.4*V1
Now T1 is -10°C or 273-10 Kelvin
T1 = 263
applying P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2
after this refer to the image
then
P2 = 75/100*P1 = 0.75* P1
V2 = 40%V1 + V1 ( becoz there it was said volume increased BY 40%)
V2 = 0.4*V1 + 1*V1 = 1.4*V1
Now T1 is -10°C or 273-10 Kelvin
T1 = 263
applying P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2
