Given numbers = 5×2×5
Since, Factors of 5 and 2 both are not in group of three.
Therefore, the number must be multiplied by 2×5×2 = 20 to make it a perfect cube.
Hence he needs 20 cuboids.
hope this helps u.

Concept

  • 6 rectangular faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges make up the three-dimensional solid known as a cuboid.
  • In terms of length, breadth, and height, a cuboid has three dimensions. A cuboid that has integer edges is referred to as a perfect cuboid.

Given

Given the sides of cuboid is 5cm , 2 cm , 5cm

Find

We need to find number of cuboids will need to form a cube

Solution

As we know that given sides are 5cm , 2 cm , 5 cm

 Such that 5*2*5

As we know that least common factor of 5 and 2 is 5*2 =10

Volume of the cuboid =  Length *  breadth *  height

=  5*2*5

= 50cm³

Now Volume of Cube =  (10)³ = 1000cm³

We need to find the number of cuboids required to make bigger cube

The number of cuboids required = 1000/50 = 20 cuboids

Hence 20 cuboids are been required to form a cube
