In 1638, Anne Hutchinson was banished from Massachusetts Bay Colony for preaching unorthodox religious views.  She was charged and convicted on the grounds of heresy and sedition by a Massachusetts court.   She was also excommunicated from the Massachusetts church in the year 1638.  She arrived in Boston in the year 1634 with her husband William Hutchinson.
