The oppressive forest laws made by the colonial administration forced them to do so it sternly regulated the following :

Explanation:

1) It appointed the collectors to collect the revenue from the people of their gharwal forcibly

2) As the forests were divided into 3 categories , all the indian residents living over there were restricted and strictly prohibited from entering those areas

3) The colonial rulers even forced some of them to shift their residence to some nearby towns or other place as to achieve scientific forestry and other commercial requirements of them

Finally all this made the ppl of their garhwal to get themselves involved in the non cooperation movement against oppressive forest laws in their region .
