In 1946, riots were taking place in Noakhali and Bihar and Kolkata. At that time, Sheikh Mujib aka Bangabandhu established a camp in Asansol for the victims of the riots.

Once while returning from Baker Hostel, he got high fever and his health worsened. Sheikh Mujib was then admitted to the European ward of the Tropical School of Medicine, where he was admitted for about 15 days.

Sheikh Mujib is known as the father of Bangladesh. He is also known as ‘Bangabandhu’. He has been the first President of Bangladesh.
