In 1962 Watson , Crick and Wilkins got nobel prize in physiology and medicine for discovery of DNA . Then why Franklin had excluded?​

Franklin contributed a lot towards the discovery of DNA structure. Watson , Crick and Wilkins also used the information contributed by Franklin. But by the time complete DNA structure was discovered , Franklin was dead and thats why she was excluded. Nobel prize cannot be given to a dead person.Also there is anothe rschool of thought who says that even if franklin was alive , she wouldnot have been considered for nobel due to sexism. She was a female and her previous works on DNA discovery were always neglected even when she was alive.
