in 2009, a Jamaican sprinter named Usain Bolt set a world record when he ran 100 meters in 9.58 seconds (or 0.160 minutes). If a car traveled at that average speed for 1 hour, how far would it travel?

For Usain Bolt

Distance = 100m

Time = 9.58 sec

Speed = Distance/Time = 100/9.58 = 10.44m/s

For Car

Speed = 10.44m/s

Time = 1hr = 3600 sec

Distance = Speed × time

Distance = 10.44 × 3600 m = 37584 m
