Explanation:
One day, after getting my test results, i was coming back from home feeling dejected. I had failed in two subjects, and I know my parents will be angry at me for not trying harder. I tried hard, but I don't know what I did wrong. I didn't even know if I am interested in continuing my studies anymore, just to fail and hurt my parents. All these thoughts ran in my mind, unaware of how or where I was walking.
Then, a kind old lady stopped me near the subway. She hold my hand and asked me if I am alright. I told her I was fine but she refused to let me go, instead taking me along and telling me that my expression says I am not okay. She did not even ask me what the reason was, but gave me help walking the stairs. Then once we out of the subway, she offered to buy me cake to cheer me up. I thanked her for the offer but told her that I have to get home before it gets dark. It was then that she gave me a great and loving advice, that I am strong no matter what. And it is up to me what I do with my life, but that I should always remember to smile and be happy. Her words made me think a lot.
I was still thinking till I reached home I was surprisingly happy with myself. I told my parents about my result but I also told them I am sorry about failing them. It was then that my father approached me and told me never to worry and that everything will be better. This unexpected reaction of my parents surprised me, but also made me happy. Now I know what the old lady means. She changed my perspective of how I look at life, and has turned my worst day into one of the best days of my life.
