In a Δ ABC, if ∠B=∠C =45°, which is the longest side?

Given:  In Δ ABC, ∠ B = ∠ C = 45°

We know that, the sum of all angles of triangle is 180°.

∠ A + ∠ B + ∠ C = 180°

∠ A + 45° + 45° = 180°

∠ A + 90° = 180°

∠ A = 180° – 90°  

∠ A = 90°

=> 45° = 45° < 90°

∠ B = ∠ C < ∠ A

AC < AB < BC

Since the side opposite to the greatest angle is largest. Therefore , side opposite to  ∠ A i.e BC is largest.

Hence , BC is the longest side.
