In a army camp there is sufficient food for 120 cadets for 24 days. If 48 cadets leave the camp,then how long would the food last?

Let the days be =x

120/72=x/24

=> 72x=2880

=>x=2880/72

=>x=40 days

The number of soldiers left the camp=48

Number of Current soldier/food days in camp=120×24=2880 soldier/food days

That is, the number of soldiers in the camp=120–48=72

So, the number of days that food lasts after 48 soldiers left
