In a bag there are 50 pause coins and 25 kaise coins.If there total number of coin is 50 and their total value is rupeea 13 find the number of coins of each kind

Let the number of 50paise coins = x
and the number of 25 paise coins = y .

ATQ -->

x + y = 50 ...eqn(1)

and 50 x + 25 y = 13* 100

50 x + 25 y = 1300

25(2 x +y ) = 25(52)

2x +y =52 ....eq(2)


Subtracting equation 1 from 2

2x + y =52

x +y = 50

x = 2



Substituting x value in equation 1

x + y =50

2+ y = 50

y = 48.

Therefore ,Number of 50 paise , 25 paise coins with the lady are 2 ,48 respectively.
