In a box of fruits 1/5 are oranges 3/10 are mangoes and the rest are bananas if the bananas are 148 in number find the total number of fruits in the box

1/5 + 3/10 = 1/2
  Half the fruits are oranges and mangoes
So, 148 bananas form the other half.

Total number of fruits are 148+148 = 296

le total be x 
 1/5x is oranges and 3/10x is  mangoes
2/10x[l.c.m] s oranges and 3/10x is  mangoes

we know rest are bananas
so banabs = 
2/10x +3/10x=5/10x
⇒10/10x-5/10x=5/10x

5/10x =148
x=[148*10/5]
     =  296

there are 296 fruits in the box
