In a box there are 6 blue ball, x red balls & 10 green balls. Probability of choosing one red ball from the given box is 1/3, then find the sum of red and blue balls in the box?

Probability of selecting red balls= Number of red balls÷Total number of balls

Probability of choosing red balls= 1÷3

Total number of balls= 6+10+x

Number of red balls=x

1÷3= x+(16+2x)

16+2x=3x

x=16

Therefore number of red balls =16

Sum of red and blue balls=16+6=22 balls
