In a bucket there is 8 kg of water at 298 k. To this 2 kg of water at 353 k is added. Calculate the resultant temperature assuming that the bucket and the surrounding do not receive any heat

Given m1=8kg
M2=2kg
T1=298k
T2=353k

Let final temperature =x

Heat lost by water hot water = heat gain by cold water

2(353-x)=8(x-298)

353-x=4(x-298)

353-x=4x-1192

4x+x=1192+353

5x=1545

X=1545/5=309k

So resultant temp=309k
