In a building there are 20 cylindrical pillars. the radius of each pillars is 35 cm and height is 4m . find the total cost of painting all pillars at the rate of rs 10 per m2 ( m square )

Answer:

r = 35 cm = 0.35 m

h = 4 m

CSA of 1 cylindrical pillar =

2\pi \: rh \\  = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 0.35 \times 4 \\  \\  = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}   \times  \frac{35}{100} \times 4 \\  \\  = 8.8 \:  {m}^{2}

CSA of 20 cylindrical pillars =

 = 20 \times 8.8 \\  = 176 \:  {m}^{2}

Cost of 1 sq.m is Rs.10.

Cost of 176 sq.m is Rs.10x176 = Rs. 1760
