in a building there are 24 cylindrical pillars. the radius of each pillar is 28 cm and height is 4 m. find the total cost of painting the curved surface area of all the pillars at the rate of 8 per m2​

As mentioned in the question :

1. There are 24 pillars

2. And radius and height of each is 28cm and 4 m respectively

As height and radius are given in different units we will first convert into same .

So ,

As we all know ,

1m = 100cm

So ,

4m will be 100×4 = 400cm

( Now ... Finally we are comfortable with quantities , now one can stop us solving this except your brain xD)

For 1 cylinder :

C.s.a = 2πrh

= 2*22/7*28*4

= 704 cm ^2

For 1 piller it is = 704cm^2

So , for 24 pillars it wud be

16896 cm^2..

By Unitary method :

16896*8

135168..Rs
