Explanation:

Cache in the stack of primary storage is made of the cache lines which are segregated into sets.  If every set has k lines then the cache is called as the k-way associative cache. The data requests with address indicating the perfect location of the requested data. An individual cache-line with data chunk from lower level can be placed into 1 set.
