In a cartesian co-ordinate system the coordinate of two points p and q are (2,4,4) and (-2, - 3,7) respectively. Find pq and its magnitude

1. General form.

The general form of the equation of a straight line is

ax+by+c=0

Where a, b and c are arbitrary constants. This form includes all other forms as special cases. For an equation in this form the slope is −ab and the y intercept is −cb.

2. Point-intercept form.

y=mx+b

Where: m is the slope of the line; b is the y-intercept of the line; x is the independent variable of the function y.

3. Using two points

In figure below, a line is defined by the two points A and B. By providing the coordinates of the two points, we can draw a line. No other line could pass through both these points and so the line they define is unique.
