in a certain gaseous reaction between X and Y , X + 3 Y giving X Y 3 .The initial rates are reported as follows:- [x] [y] rate 0.1 M 0.1 M 0.002 Ms^-1 0.2 M 0.1 M 0.002 Ms^-1 0.3 M 0.2 M 0.008 Ms^-1 0.4 M 0.3 M 0.018 Ms^-1

kritiy: What is the question...
tanishqsingh: Find the order and rate constant, I guess.

The question can be solved the rate law equation and putting the values.
Also there is an alternative method for quick solution of the question.

poonam85ttovn20g: The reaction mechanism for the reaction P giving R is as follows :-
P giving 2Q (fast) {at equillibrium } ;
2Q+P giving R (slow)
The rate law for the main reaction ( P giving R) is [where K1 is for the first reaction and K2 is for the second reaction ]
a)K1[P][Q]
b)K1K2[P]
c)K1K2[P]^2
d)K1K2[a] can u give an answer for this as well thankyou
