WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF FRICTION?

Friction is useful and even not.We are able to walk,run move ourselves only due to the force of friction,if there was no friction then the world would completely change.
Advantages:
1.Only because of friction the vehicles are moving on the road.
2.People and other animals are able to walk.
3.Fire is lit by the frictional force between stick and the box.
4.We are able to write,cut things etc
5.Machinery are able to work on due to movement of parts.
Disadvantages:
1.Due to friction few machinery may get overheated.
2.If friction acts more on any electrically running body then more power may be consumed.
3.Friction between trees may cause heat and lead to forest fires.
4.Due to friction outer parts of an object may wear out.
5.If there is more friction between machine parts then it may run roughly causing terrible noise.

Advantages of friction:-

It is because of friction that we can walk, drive, open doors, turn tap and write.Screw and nails do not slip of because of the friction between the wood and the metal surface of the screw .

Disadvantages of friction:-

Friction causes the moving parts in machinery and automobiles to heat up this results in wastage of energy and fuel. Fiction also causes wear and Tear of the moving parts .
