the radius of sperical balloon increases from 6cm to 12cm as air is being pumped find the ratios of the surface areas of the balloon in both cases

r1 = 6cm
S¹ = 4πr1²
S¹ = 4×π×36 = 144π --(1)

r2 = 12cm
S² = 4πr2²
S² = 4×π×144 = 576π ---(2)

Dividing both

S¹/S² = 144π/576π = 1/4

Hence ratio is 1:4

Note :- S¹ & S² Denotes surface area in both cases
