In a certain observation we get l =23.2 cm,r=1.32cm and time taken for 20 oscillations was 20.0 sec. Taking pi^2=10,find the value of g in proper significant figures.

- It is given that :

l = 23.2 cm

Time for 20 oscillations = 20.0 s

π² = 10

- Time period of 1 oscillation = 20.0/20 = 1.0 s

- We know that

T = 2π√(l/g)

⇒ T² = 4π²l/g

⇒ g = 4π²l/T²

⇒ g = 4 × 10 × 23.2/1

⇒ g = 928 cm/s²
