Answer:

Given:

Diameter of the circle = 56 cm

Radius of the circle = 56/2 = 28 cm

An arc subtends an and of 60° at the centre.

To Find:

The length of the arc.

Formula:

Length of the arc = Theta / 360° × 2πr

Solution:

According to the question,

Theta = 60°

π = 22/7

r, radius = 28 cm

Length of the arc = 60°/360° × 2 × 22/7 × 28

Length of the arc = 1/6 × 44/7 × 28

Length of the arc = 1/3 × 22 × 4

Length of the arc = 88/3

Length of the arc = 29.3 cm (approx.)
