radius of the circle r = 10.5 cm


and minor arc is one fifth of the major arc.


let the major arc subtend the angle θ on the circumference.


therefore minor arc subtend angle (360 - θ) on the circumference.


minor arc = 1/5* major arc

2πr*360-θ360

=15*2πr*θ3605(360-θ)
=θ1800-5θ
=θ6θ
=1800θ
=18006
=300

therefore the area of the sector corresponding to the major arc

=πr2*θ360

=227*10.5*10.5*300360

=33*10.5*56

=288.75 cm2
