Question :-

In a circle of radius 7 cm the sector subtends an angle of 60° at the centre. Find the area of the sector.

Area of a sector is given as

(∅/360) × πr²

Where, ∅ = the magnitude of angle in degrees.

Here, ∅ = 60°

r = 7 cm

So, area = (60/360) × 22/7 × 7²

= 1/6 × 22/7 × 49

= 1/6 × 154

= 77/3 cm²

= 25.67 cm² (approx)

▶ Question - In a circle of radius 7 cm, an arc subtends at angle of 60° at the centre. Find the area of sector.

▶ Given :

i) Radius of the circle ( r ) = 7 cm

ii) An arc subtends at angle of 60° ( θ )

▶ To Find :

Area of the sector

▶ We know that :

Area of sector = θ / 360 × πr^2

= 60 / 360 × 22 / 7 × 7 × 7

= 1 / 6 × 154

= 154 / 6

= 25.6 m^2

\large{\boxed {\boxed {\pink{\sf {Therefore, Area \:  of  \: sector = 25.6   \: {m}^{2} }}}}}
