I = V/R

In parellel arrangement V = constant

∴ I1/I2 = R2/R1 = 8/4 = 2 = 2 : 1

Ratio of current passing through resistors is 2 : 1

In parallel circuit p.d is constant

A/C to ohms law

V=IR

V=I×1/4

4V=I (1)

V=IR

V=I×1/8

8V=I (2)

From equation 1 and 2 we can conclude that

i:i

4V:8V

on cancellation the ratio is 1:2
