If a body is in circular motion then the force acting towards the centre is known as \textbf{Centripetal Force }.

This can also be defined as the force acting towards the centre of circular path.

F = mv^2 / r

m= mass of body

v = velocity of body

r= radius of body

it is the centripetal force that keeps the body in circle

Its direction is always towards the center of circle..,
