Diameter of the park is = 80m
Now if I want to take the maximum area inside a square situated in the park, the diagonal of the square will be equal to the diameter of the circle (here circular park).
Thus diagonal of the playground = Diameter of the circular park = 80m
Lets assume an of the playground is 'x'm long.
Thus the diagonal will be √2x.
Therefore, √2x = 80
or, x = 80/(√2)
= 40√2
Thus the area of the playground will be = x² = (40√2)² = 3200 m²
The answer is 3200 m².
