In a class 20% of students are below 14 years of age. Out of the remaining students 10% are of the
age 14-15 years and ratio of the students who are between 15-16 years of age to students above 16
years of age is 3:2. If the number of students who are above 16 years is 71, what is the total number
of students in the class?​

Given, the no. of students 8 years of age is = 48.

Therefore, the no. of students above 8 years of age = 48 x 2/3 = 32.

As 20 percent studens are below 8 years of age, hence 80 percent studens are 8 & above 8 years of age. So total no. of 80 percent students are =(48+32)= 80.

Now, 80 percent = 80

1 percent = (80/80)

and 100 percent = (80/80)* 100 which is = 100.

Therefore the total no. of studens = 100.

Ans: 100.
