number of boy in class=60%

number of girls in class=100-60=40%

if the number of girls are 14

now total number of students

$x \times 40\% \\ \frac{ x \times 40}{100} \\ \frac{4x}{10} \\ so :total\: number \: of \: students\\ \frac{4x}{10} = 14 \\ 4x = 140 \\ x = 35$

here number of boys

$35 \times 60\%\: \\ 35 \times \frac{60}{100} \\ 21$
