8 have dogs so 28-8 = 20
6 have cats 20-6= 14
10 have both dogs and cats 14 - 10= 4

Hey
Your answer is:
Total students = 28
Students with dog = 8
cat = 6
dog and cat = 10
left students = 28 - (10+6+8) =>28 - 24 = 4 answer.
Hope it helps. :)
