The average marks of class in English =(2695 ÷ 35) = 77

since $\frac{3}{5}$  mark increase so the new average marks is $(1+\frac{3}{5} )$=$\frac{8}{5}$

so according to problem

(x×$\frac{8}{5}$) - (x×1)= 90-69

⇒ x= 35

∴The average marks of class in English =(2695 ÷ 35) = 77
