Number of students like Play cricket= 24

Number of students like Play football= 16

Students like to play cricket and football= 40

so, No. of students like to play both cricket and football= 40-35 =5

Student like cricket + student like football = 24 + 16 = 40

because some student have been counted twice : 1 time in cricket, 1 time in foot ball

So, student like both = 40 - 35 = 5 students

So, the answer is 5 students.
