in a class of 48 students , the no. of boys is 3/5 of the no. of girls. find number of boys and girls in the class

let the no. of girls =x
and no. of boys =3/5 x
so : x + 3/5x =48
solving this the value of x is 30
so no. of girls is 30 nd boys is. 3/5 of 30, i.e. 18

let no of girls be x
then, no of boys will be 3x / 5
now, x + 3x / 5 =48
     ∴ x = 30
then, 3x / 5=18

no of girls = x =30
no of boys = 3x / 5 =18
