So, number of girls = 2/3 of boys
Let no. of boys be x
So , no. of girls = 2x/3
Now, 2x/3 + x = 50
5x/3 = 50
x = 150/5 = 30
So, number of girls = 2/3 of boys

Let the no of boys be x
Then no of girls will be 2/3x
=>x + 2x/3 = 49
=>5x/3=49
Lets round it off to 50
=>x= 30
