Given : Total Number of Students in the Class : 50

Given : M is Eighth from the Top

⇒ There are 7 Students before M

Given : H is 20th from the Bottom

⇒ There are 19 Students after H

So, These 7 Students before M and 19 Students after H cannot be between M and H

⇒ Students who are not present between M and H = (7 + 19) = 26

As , The Question is Number of Students between M and H, We don't M and H in the Number of Students between M and H

Students who are not present between M and H = (26 + M + H) = 28

⇒ Students who are present between M and H = (50 - 28) = 22

Answer: 22

Explanation:

M is 8th from the top.

H is (50 - 20 + 1 =) 31 st from the top.

Number of students between M and H = (31 - 8- 1=)22
