Step-by-step explanation:

student taken mathematics=35

student taken static =40

total no of student= 40+35=75

student taken both =75-65=10

student who have not taken static=65-40=25

student who have taken only mathematics is 25

The correct option is (a) 10,25

GIVEN:-

  • No. of students = 65
  • No. of Students who have taken Mathematics= 35
  • No. of Students who have taken Statistics = 40

TO FIND- no. of students who have taken Mathematics but not Statistics.

SOLUTION:-

Sum of No. of Students who have taken Mathematics and No. of Students taken Statistics = 35 + 40 = 75

As we know the total No. of students is 65

No. of students who have taken both = 75 -65 = 10

No. of students who have taken Mathematics but not Statistics = Total no. of students - No. of Students who have taken Statistics = 65 - 40 = 25

Hence, the correct option is (a) 10,25
